BBQ, King Ranch and Halloween

A lot has happened since my last post.  The week of Halloween I headed down to the King Ranch with the guys from Quad Photo for some picture taking.  On the way down we did a BBQ tour.

Our first stop was Snow's in Lexington, voted best brisket in D Magazine and they definitely lived up to it.

Tootsie who learned from her father is the pit master.

Hershey is Tootsie's son and has been learning from the best.

BBQ is a family affair.

Second stop in Giddings.

Then we stopped by Prause in LaGrange to finish off the last of the meat.

A BBQ tour in South Texas couldn't be complete without a stop by the Shiner Brewery for our complementary brew.

Too close to the beach to not stop.

To the Ranch.

The most Turkey Vultures I've ever seen.

Caracara

King Ranch Gator.

Not too many Halloween parties in Kingsville so we had our own thanks to Mari Hidalgo and her excellent face painting abilities.
