Lake Worth Bass

Went out with Josh and The Ninja to Lake Worth last weekend for a little Mountain Sports Fishing Team trip.  We met up under the bridge at 5AM and paddled out to the damn.  As soon as the sun started to come up the sand bass and bass started hitting the water all around us.  We tried nearly everything in our tackle boxes and only caught a few fish.  When that died down we started fishing deeper water and caught a few that way.  After that we started fishing the coves and boat docks with the good ol' Wacky Worm.  I guess because the lake is so shallow they hang shallow year round.  Anyways, it was good time and we caught some fish.

Enjoy the pics.

Always good to run into Cuda Dude on the water.

Night Fishing

Went out to Lake Arlington with Josh the other day to try our hand at some night fishing.  We were only out there for a few hours and didn't get a bite.  The thing I'm wondering about is how you keep your drop shot rig from getting crazy tangled up around your rod.  Also, what are people using and doing to catch fish at night?  Any recommendations would be great.

Thanks and enjoy,

29er

Took out my new 29er on her maiden voyage to Cedar Hill State Park and man does she ride good.  Also, got see a really cool sunset in the process.

A Hot Day on the Trinity

Went out to the Trinity with Josh from Mountain Sports on Thursday.

Josh bought a new set of wheels for the yak.

Jackson Cuda 14

Met this guy in a float tube.  He was doing pretty well with a deep diving rattle.

Unfortunately, he had the right color and neither Josh or I had anything in tackle boxes that would work.

After cursing the Trinity for the last half of the day I get this text from Josh down the river.  He ended up catching the only bass of the day.

Check out this guys eye.

Cheers,
