Soon the leaves will disappear from the ground and return to the sky.
The scorching sun will peak through to create new life.
Birds will chirp from the heavens and rivers will flourish.
People will Play

Austin

This past weekend I took some time off and headed down to good ol' Austin TX.
While visiting with my friends and family I snagged a couple of photos I'd like to share.

I found this great piece of art at the Trailer Park and Eatery while dinning on some delicious fried avocado tacos from Torchy's

Austin received a great deal of rain which is awesome due to the drought they have had in the past year.  On Sunday the sun came out and so did everyone else, so I headed down to the greenbelt for a little hike.  I found these guys playing around at Twin Falls and was able to snap a couple off from the bank.

I went out to Nephew's in San Marcos as the official photographer for Hypnotix Laser Company out of Austin TX.  Hypnotix offers an array of services including, laser rentals and operators as well as running sound and lights.

And as always you can check out more of my work at www.doskophoto.com

Brazos River Day Trip

Yesterday I went out with my two best buds, Josh and Sam to paddle the 8 mile stretch of the Brazos River that flows just below Lake Whitney.  Usually the river here is crystal clear, unfortunately they had recently released water from the damn stirring it up creating a river with the consistency of chocolate milk.  Although we didn't catch anything, this portion of the river is supposed to have an abundance of fish including large mouth bass and striper.  Here are few photos of from the day trip.

Rollin' Dirty

The Bluffs on this part of the river trickle water down into the river.

Josh fighting the giant rapids.

There was an abundance of wildlife for it being early February.

The sun decided to make it out which made it a comfortable 65 degrees and no wind making the perfect conditions to be on a boat.

Sam's a little confused as to why I'm in the boat and he is not.
Josh
Josh fished a little but without any luck.
Birds of all shapes and sizes flourish here.

Due to the drought the river was running a bit low and because of the extra 70 lbs of Sam I was carrying, I ended up dragging the boat towards the end of the 8 mile paddle.  All and all, I'd say it was great stretch of river and I will definitely be back soon.

Sambo

The other day after all the rain we received here in the DFW, I decided to set up a photo shoot with my buddy Sam running through the water. So we went to the park down the street from my house, I made Sam sit and stay while I walked to the other side of the puddles, set up my camera and yelled for Sam to come. He was smarter than I thought, running around the giant puddles of water to come to me. After several tries at this, I finally got this shot of Sam in mid stride.
