Hubbard River and a Bowfin

Went back out to the Hubbard River on Thursday with my buddy Josh Walker from the Mountain Sports Kayak Fishing Team.  The fishing was just as good as last time however the bass we were catching were a bit smaller.  Could have been the full moon, the cold front, spawning, or that the river was down about 2 ft.  Not really sure.  One cool thing was that Josh caught his first bowfin.  Its a really interesting looking fish and a hard fighter.
