FIREFIGHTER PROJECT

There aren't many jobs that ask as much of a person as firefighting does. I spent eight years as a volunteer firefighter, so I know the training, the sacrifice, the brotherhood firsthand — it's a world most people never see up close, and one I wanted to document with the honesty it deserves.

This project gave me the chance to photograph firefighters in their element: in full gear, in training, and in the quieter moments between calls. These images aren't about heroism for its own sake — they're about showing the real people who show up when things go wrong.

It was an honor to tell this story through my lens.
